Northern Lights From Best Budz Visual: These buds gave me an old school feel to them. They were forest green with a bit of leaf and some red hairs. The crystal was a bit sparse and they were very small and compact. The buds were fairly dense except where it was leafy.

Nose: The nose was light, but it had that classic earthiness and woodiness and sweet pine to it. When I opened it up I got more of the woodiness and the earthiness but it was still light.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was very easy to cut and to grind. It was a tiny bit dry.

Taste: The flavor was a little woody and a bit spicy, but it didn’t last through the joint.

Burn: It burnt ok. The ash was a bit salt and peppery, but it didn’t want to go out.

Potency/Effects: This Northern Lights had a little bit of a hit to it. It was very relaxing and mellow, and it was a little light on the potency for me. It would be good for evening as I could still function quite well.

Island Pink From Best Budz Visual: I enjoyed the looks and structure of this Pink. There was lots of crystal on these medium green nugs. The colour was lightened up by the creamy crystal which gave a bit of a yellow tint to it. The buds were quite dense.

Nose: The nose was a bit kushy right out of the bag and I also got some skunk and pine. It was a bit light.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It was very easy to cut and to grind.

Taste: I got a lot of the pine and some of the kushiness and some earthiness.

Burn: It burnt ok. The ash was a little bit salt and peppery.

Potency/Effects: This Island Pink had a bit of a punch to it and it built up well. I got a weighed down effect in my body and a bit of a boost to my cerebral energy which made me get lost in thought for a while. It would be good for late night.

Blueberry AK From Best Budz Visual: The colour on these buds were an army green with light brown hairs that blended in so they were hard to see. They had a nice structure and one of the buds was very cone shaped but still had a roundness to the bracts. The crystal was a bit fuzzy and had a nice sparkle to them. They were extremely dense.

Nose: It had a musky earthy grape nose and it was very pungent right out of the jar. When I opened it up I got more of the same but with a little bit of the Blueberry smell.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It held back a bit in the grinder but it was easy to cut up with scissors. It had a light and fuzzy feel to it for how dense it was.

Taste: Not as much of the grape came through. I got a little bit of an earthy blueberry and a bit of sweetness.

Burn: The burn was great. It had a light ash which clung together well.

Potency/Effects: It had a bit of a punch to it and it built up well to a good potency level for me. The effects were a balanced effect between my head and my body. My head was quite buzzed out and my body felt like it was a bit heavy. Very enjoyable.

Purple Sugar Cane From Best Budz Cross: Platinum x Slurricane

Visual: This Purple Sugar Cane was very frosty with lots of pretty purples and greens and it had some splashes of orange pistils. It was very visually appealing, and it is always hard to break these ones open, but I had to see what was on the inside. It was beautiful and crystal covered like it was almost dripping with trics. I could hardly see the flower from all of the frosty crystal. The buds had a little bit of a squish and give to them when I gave them a squeeze.

Nose: The nose was sweet and fruity with a musky grape. It was very pungent and when I spread the flower apart it was even more so with the addition of some pine and gas and even a funky savory smell which made me think fried chicken. It made my mouth water and I was thinking it might be finger licking good.

Cut/Roll/Grind: It ground up well, the moisture level was good and it was a bit sticky when I was cutting it up.

Taste: The taste was very flavourful. It covered my taste buds with lots of herbal spiciness that had a sweetness to it and a bit of that fruitiness and gas came though onto my tongue.

Burn: It burnt very well. It was slow and steady and the ash was light and clingy, just how I like it. It was a great smoke.

Potency/Effects: I didn’t get much of a punch from it but the potency built up well for me. It was more Indica leaning in my body with a great buzz travelling in waves up and down while giving my head a little buzz and some uplifting energy. It was very versatile and a good all-around strain that would be good for anytime of the day.
